Any player who has spent time playing Honkai: Star Rail has almost certainly heard the iconic fan saying: “Supports are forever, DPS come and go”. Harmony path supports, the role responsible for boosting team damage and raising your overall output ceiling, are the perfect example of this rule. No matter how often the game updates, or how powerful new top-tier damage dealers get released, high-quality Harmony supports always hold their value and work great with every team composition. Today, we are breaking down the latest updated Harmony support character tier list to give new players a clear reference for pulling and building.
Latest Harmony Support Character Tier Rankings
T0: Universal Utility Ceiling, Must-Pull Tier
T0 Harmony supports are universally agreed to be the absolute best of the current meta. They can slot into any team composition seamlessly, and have held their full value from game launch without ever falling out of the meta. First up is the launch 5-star Bronya, who excels at damage boosts, turn advancing, and defense shredding. She works perfectly with both direct damage DPS and critical hit-focused DPS, and no other Harmony character has been able to fully replace her position to this day. Next is Ruan Mei, who offers global enemy resistance reduction, team-wide damage boosts, and even crowd control cleansing. Her damage boost for multi-target output is top-tier in the current version, and she performs incredibly well in both Forgotten Hall and Apocalyptic Shadow, and will continue to perform well even after new DPS characters launch in the future. Robin also holds a steady spot in T0, with massive team-wide damage buffs, extra energy regeneration, and added survivability. She fits perfectly into the current meta’s popular follow-up attack teams and direct damage teams, making her one of the most sought-after 5-star Harmony supports right now.
Don’t overlook the 4-star god-tier character Tingyun, either. Her single-target damage boost actually outperforms most 5-star supports, and even with low investment, she can carry any single-target DPS to incredible damage numbers. She is easy to obtain, offers extremely high returns, and free-to-play and low-spend players can use her immediately after pulling. She has remained a universal single-target support from launch all the way to today.
T1: Strong & Useful, Core For Specific Teams
T1-tier Harmony supports still have excellent overall strength, they just have slightly lower universal usability than T0 options, or need to be paired with specific team compositions to reach their full damage potential. The most representative example is 4-star Asta, who offers team-wide speed and attack buffs. She is the core support for speed teams and break effect teams, and performs just as well as 5-star supports in multi-enemy content. On top of that, she is easy to obtain and simple to get to full Eidolons, making her incredible value for all players. While Pela is often categorized as just a defense shred support, her energy regeneration and damage reduction abilities also give very noticeable boosts to damage teams, and she is completely irreplaceable when fighting enemies with barriers. The 4-star Hanya also delivers impressive damage boosts for follow-up attack teams, and can put up performance matching T0 characters when placed in the right team. If you don’t have any 5-star Harmony supports, investing in her is never a waste.
T2: Usable In Specific Scenarios, Low Priority For New Players
T2-tier Harmony supports are not underpowered by any means, but they lean into more niche playstyles, and only see play in specific scenarios or fun casual team builds. They have very low general usability, so we don’t recommend new players prioritize investing resources into building or pulling for them. Most of the time they only act as backup team substitutes, and they can easily get pushed out of the meta after new character releases.
Harmony Support Pulling & Building Recommendations
A lot of new players fall into the common mistake of prioritizing pulling for fully Eidoloned DPS characters first, but the truth is that Harmony supports hold their value far better than the vast majority of damage dealers. After all, no matter how strong a new DPS is, they still need powerful supports to amplify their damage. If you pull just one T0 Harmony support, you will be able to use it across multiple game versions, which perfectly echoes that classic saying “supports are forever, DPS come and go”.
If you are a free-to-play or low-spend new player, we recommend saving your pulling resources for T0-tier 5-star Harmony supports first, and you should absolutely prioritize leveling up 4-stars Tingyun and Asta as well. The damage boost they bring to your team is almost always larger than the gain you get from forcing a pull for a new DPS. Once your team has a qualified Harmony support, you can start pulling for your favorite damage dealers. This approach lets you easily handle all kinds of high-difficulty endgame content, and you never have to worry about your high-investment support becoming obsolete quickly.
