In Honkai: Star Rail, planning your daily time and resources is critical to steady, smooth progression. A well-structured efficient daily routine lets you accumulate Stellar Jades and level up your characters much faster, building a solid foundation for tackling challenging late-game content later on. This guide breaks down how to maximize your daily gains across three core areas: stamina usage, weekly boss strategy, and overall resource management.
How To Spend Stamina: Optimal Daily Stamina Allocation Strategy
Stamina is the most valuable core resource in Honkai: Star Rail, with a maximum cap of 240 points that stops automatically regenerating once full. Following a smart priority order for spending your stamina will cut your character leveling time in half and make progression far more rewarding.
Highest Priority Stamina Uses
Your first priority for daily stamina should always be farming material stages that require Trailblaze Power to enter. This includes Calyx (Crimson) for character Ascension materials and Calyx (Golden) for Trace upgrade materials. Always prioritize farming the specific attribute materials you need for whichever character you are currently actively building.
If you are in the process of leveling up multiple key characters at once, you can focus your stamina on farming the same type of Calyx for versatile, widely used Path materials. For example, prioritizing general-use Path materials for Destruction, Hunt, and Erudition will quickly boost your entire team’s overall damage output.
When Should You Farm Relics?
Relics are the biggest dividing line between strong and weak character builds, but farming relics is extremely stamina-intensive and has completely random drop rates. For resource-limited players, it is recommended to wait until you reach Trailblaze Level 40 (which unlocks Equilibrium Level 3) before you start investing large amounts of stamina into relic farming.
Before that point, it is far better to spend stamina on improving your character’s core base stats: level, Traces, and Light Cones. These are all guaranteed, consistent ways to increase your combat power. You can farm a small number of relic runs each day just to piece together a basic set bonus for your characters during this early phase.
Once you finish the base progression work for all of your key characters, you can shift the majority of your daily stamina over to relic farming to refine your builds and chase perfect substats.
Additional Sources of EXP and Credits
Leveling up characters and Light Cones requires massive amounts of EXP materials and Credits. Beyond the steady income you get from daily Simulated Universe runs, you can also spend stamina on the EXP and Credit Calyx stages.
We only recommend dedicating large amounts of stamina to these stages if you urgently need to level up multiple characters at once. Normally, you will get more than enough EXP and Credits from completing daily and weekly tasks, so stamina should be prioritized for Ascension materials that cannot be obtained consistently through other methods.
How To Clear Weekly Bosses: Efficient Echo of War Guide
The three weekly Echo of War runs (commonly called weekly bosses) are the core source of 5-star relics, rare materials, and Light Cone Ascension materials. How you approach weekly bosses directly impacts your overall resource gain efficiency.
Team Composition and Elemental Weakness Exploitation
The two weekly bosses each week have different attributes and unique mechanics. Before you challenge a boss, always check its weakness attributes and build a team with damage dealers of matching Paths. Taking advantage of weakness breaking not only deals massive shield break damage, it also interrupts the boss’s special high-damage attacks.
For example, when fighting the Imaginary-type “Stillness and Samsara” boss, bringing Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae or Welt will drastically improve your clear speed. You should always include at least one sustain character on your team to ensure you survive the boss’s damage burst phases.
Use Friend Supports and Pre-Battle Techniques
If your main team’s build level is not high enough to easily clear the boss, you can take advantage of the friend system to borrow a high-level fully built character (such as a fully eidoloned, superimposed Destruction or Hunt main damage dealer) to lower the challenge difficulty. During the pre-battle phase, using the right Techniques (tactical skills) can give you a major advantage right when the fight starts.
For example, many character Techniques give your entire team attack buffs, speed boosts, or starting energy refills. Activating the right Techniques before entering combat significantly cuts down your clear time and makes your weekly boss runs much more efficient.
Double drop events for weekly bosses often run on Wednesdays and Saturdays, so it is recommended to save your weekly runs for those days to maximize your return on stamina investment. Even if your combat power is low, you should always use all three of your weekly runs every week — this is the most consistent source of 5-star relics and rare materials in the game.
Maximize Resources: Daily and Weekly Task Management
Beyond stamina and weekly bosses, Honkai: Star Rail’s many daily and weekly tasks are also important sources of valuable resources. Learning to manage these tasks consistently will let your resource stockpile grow steadily over time.
Daily Assignments and Trailblaze EXP
Your three daily assignment missions are a consistent source of Stellar Jades and Credits every day. After your assignments finish, don’t forget to return to the assignment menu to claim your rewards. Once you accumulate 100 activity points, you can also claim an extra daily reward from assignments. This is an easy, steady source of income that you should never miss.
Accumulated Trailblaze EXP directly impacts your stamina cap and the unlock progress of new game features. Consistently completing main story quests, side quests, and Simulated Universe runs every day is the only way to steadily raise your Trailblaze level. Higher levels mean a higher stamina cap and access to more high-level stages, so you should always make progress consistently each day.
Simulated Universe and Stellar Jade Planning
The Simulated Universe not only provides massive amounts of Credits, EXP, and materials, it is also one of the main sources of Stellar Jades each week. Completing 13 Simulated Universe runs each week gives you a huge amount of Stellar Jade as a reward, so you should always aim to hit this weekly cap.
For Stellar Jade planning, both monthly card players and free-to-play players should prioritize spending Stellar Jades on Special Passes or Regular Passes, so you can consistently pull for new characters or Light Cones. At the start of a new version, we recommend holding onto your Stellar Jades until the full banner schedule is released, then choose which unit to pull based on your current team’s gaps. Avoid blindly following meta trends, and make every Stellar Jade count.
By following this daily checklist: prioritize character progression materials, use all your weekly boss runs every week, and complete all daily and weekly tasks, you will efficiently accumulate all the resources you need and make your entire Honkai: Star Rail journey much smoother.
